Week 5 in Room 16
This week we had three new children join our class. That means we have 16 children in our class now and there arm order to come before the end of term. We welcome Mia, Lily and CJ to our class. Already they have shown that they are going to be great Grey Main Learners. Today was exciting when our field turned into a swimming pool becaus of all the heavy rain. We thought the classroom might float away if it kept raining! Here is a photo of the big puddle outside our classroom.

Week 3 in Room 16
We have had another busy week in Room 16. Some of our writers managed to write two ideas with very little help from the teacher. This means they are well on their way to being independent writers. Way to go guys! Read their stories below.

Week 2 in Room 16.
We have had another great week in Room 16. Jonathan started school and is showing us he is a great listener. We had a visit from Constable Bryan and Bobby who told us why ignoring is important to wear a seat belt. We had our photo taken with Bobby too. On Friday we walked down to the Aquatic Centre to see the big trucks, roller and digger working. They are making a sports centre. At the moment there is a very big hole there! It was really hot. When we got back to school Mrs O gave us all a banana ice block. Thank you Mrs O. We have lots to write about next week.

Maths in Room 16 in Week 8.
This week in maths we have been learning about halves and quarters. Mrs Evans bought us some bread and luncheon and we had fun cutting our bread into halves and quarters. Then we were allowed to eat our sandwiches. Yum, yum!
Week 8 in Room 16
This week has been a busy week. We had a teddy bears picnic in the hall with our friends from Syndicate 1 and 2. We listened to the teddy bears picnic music, went on a bear hunt with Mrs Thomas, acted out the poem Teddy Bear teddy bear turn around and listened to our favourite story "The Best Lived Bear". It was so exciting.
